Fresh sheets and freshly showered before bed. It’s a good night to be me.
My friend is telling me not to post this super-cute (and kind of seductive) photo I took of myself because super-cute (and kind of seductive) photos don’t belong on Instagram apparently :(

Damn Colby you are fiiiiiiiine.
The single most important thing Tom said in his video.
and one of the points everyone seemed to miss
“In spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great. That someone is a guy. It did take me by surprise a little bit. It was always in my head that something like that could happen. But it wasn’t until spring this year that things just clicked. It felt right and I thought ‘okay’. And my whole world changed there and then. Of course I still fancy girls but right now I’m dating a guy and I couldn’t be happier.” [x]
I’ll admit that my first reaction when I heard about Tom Daley “coming out as gay” was along the lines of “obviously, it was just a matter of time.” But honestly after having actually watched his video and reading some other people’s comments about it, I think it’s important that we respect that he never used the word ‘gay’ or ‘homosexual’ and I’m pretty sure he never even said ‘bisexual’ - he simply said he fancies girls and is dating a guy. I don’t think anybody’s sexuality is ever “obvious” and certainly not always 100% one way or the other. His video was done absolutely perfectly, just the way it should have been, and I’m really proud and moved by the way he tackled this aspect of his life and the way he presented himself to his fans and the public. It’s just a shame that the media has misquoted his video, which is something he specifically wanted to avoid and even talked about. Let’s just slow down and respect his life and his choices and the fact that, gay or not, he’s still an Olympic bronze medalist and that’s certainly more than most of us have achieved by the age of 19!
GOOD WORK, TOM!!
You, sir, are the most beautiful human I have ever seen and I one day hope to meet and marry you.
